How to Downgrade Whatsapp to Older Version on Android



Yesterday WhatsApp has updated their app with new features, but most of the users don’t like the new update as they removed some old features on the new version. In that case you have to use some manual tricks to downgrade whatsapp to the old version as google nor whatsapp won’t allow that. People already started to criticize whatsapp on playstore and social media pages. Here are some of the most liked comments made by Whatsapp users in whatsapp’s official facebook page against new updates.

So if you are also felt the same and wanna downgrade or uninstall the new update, please follow the below steps. Remember that, as I said in the start once you had updated the latest version, you can’t downgrade directly through Play store.

Steps to downgrade whatsapp to older version

unknown-sources-androidBefore initiate the downgrading process you had to checked the “Allow installation of apps from unknown sources” in setting before installing the old version of whatsapp. Because we are downloading the whatsapp from third party website. You can get this option by go to Settings>System>Security

Step 1 :- Make a backup of your whatsapp messages.

Step 2 :- Uninstall the Updated version of the Whatsapp from your Device.

Step 3 :- Download the old version from here.

Step 4 :- Open the APK file using a file manager and install it.

Step 5 :- After that please follow the regular steps to verify the mobile number and restoring the previous chat.

Step 6 :- Import your old backup.
